Visa Association - How It Operates & Some Background Information

Visa is not a traditional multinational company, it is a an organisation which has 20,000 financial institution members who make up the Visa Association which processes all those visa payments. The Visa brand was created over 30 years ago and the Visa head office is in the United States in San Francisco, California. Visa's mission is to be "the way the world pays" and judging by the fact that you can pay by visa virtually anywhere in the world, it cretainly seems like they are achieving their aim.
