The Platinum Plus Mastercard is an
MBNA credit card that comes with 0% balance transfers for the first 12 months (although
there is a 2% handling fee) and 0% interest per annum on purchases for the first 3 months.
After that you pay 15.9% typical APR. You can manage your account online, view your credit
limit, see your last six months transactions and view your current balance. There is no
annual fee for having this MBNA credit card, although you get charged £12 for going over
your limit, late payment or returned payments and there is a 2.75% commission on foreign
currency transactions. You also get protection for your credit card with MBNA Secure and a
24 hour worldwide telephone helpline, 56 days interest free days on purchases only and the
minimum payment on the card is 2.25% of the balance (minimum £5).
