Saving On International Phone Calls By Using Override Providers

A  good way to save money on your international phone calls is to use an override provider which offers you cheaper call rates than your normal call provider. There are two different types of override provider:

1. Billed Providers. A billed provider gives you a freephone number to call or a 4 or 5 digit prefix number which will allow you to access their system "overriding" your normal call providers network. You then make your call and are then billed by the override provider for the call using their cheaper call rates. Some of these billed providers allow you to prepay whilst others set up an account for you and you are then billed by direct debit each month.

2. Call Charge Providers. With call charge providers you call a special number which gives you access to their system and are billed for this call through your normal call provider. This method is easier to use than billed providers because you don't have to set up an account or pay a separate bill, however you have to pay for the calls even if they do not connect which means it can be more expensive.
